Editorial VS Fine Art Photography

There are many benefits for having creative editorial food photography. First of all, there can be more than one photo which can be shot from different angles, unlike a fine art food photo. Additional information about the food can be provided and nice backgrounds can grace the shots.

I really enjoy this fine art photo. It shows the main ingredients of this dish and the result is that the appetizer is very appealing to the senses. The small plate looks very intriguing, as well, because of the various shapes and contrasting colors. Fine art photography shows more details of the food. If the photographer captures the food at a good angle, ingredients may pop out more from the page. What I do not like about fine art photography is that when a photo is taken of a meal, only parts of it are presented. An editorial photo can display a larger portion of the components of the entire meal.
